Beautiful Inside and Out - seeking good mental health

Beautiful inside and out can be defined as a peaceful and balanced social, emotional and psychological state, where you are satisfied and happy with how these areas are performing in your life.

The mere absence of mental illness is not synonymous with good mental health. Many people with no diagnosable mental illness suffer from a lack of wellbeing.

“We all have mental health just like we all have physical health. And just as we monitor our bodies for potential problem or pain, we should keep tabs on our mental health and try to better recognize when it needs some attention.” John M. Grohol, Psy. D., PsychCentral.com 2008
